Adaptive Equipment

SDS offers audio recorders/players or FM systems for loan to students on an as-needed basis. You will be asked to read and sign an equipment agreement form, which holds you responsible for the equipment if lost, stolen or broken. When you finish a class for the current semester, the equipment should be returned. If you drop or withdraw from a a class, the equipment should be returned to the office at that time.

Additionally, SDS offers exam/study rooms that offer specialized software programs including JAWS, Zoom Text, Complete Reading System, Text to Audio, Dragon and Dictate and Duxberry. Additionally, SDS also has three CCTVs, Virsapoint Duo Embosser and Scanner.
