Faculty Forum

 
The office of SDS is proud to announce the creation of the Faculty Forum, a Blackboard training module to help members develop competency in accommodating students with disabilities. The Faculty Forum addresses several key areas including

• Student and faculty rights and responsibilities
• Universal design
• Specific academic educational accommodations
• Web accessibility
• Key components of legislation pertaining to higher education

Accommodating persons with disabilities is a team effort. It is our desire to provide faculty with the knowlege and tools they need to effectively empower all students to succeed. The Faculty Forum will help educators by increasing their knowledge and skills in accordance with federal guidelines.

Access the Faculty Forum by logging onto Blackboard with your WSU access ID and password. Clicking on the link for Forum site, SDS_TRAIN, in the section titled "Courses you are Taking," will open the site.
