Kristen Swan, MA, LLMSW
Biography
Kristen Swan serves as a Disability Specialist at Student Disability Services. She earned her bachelor's degree in psychology and art history from Williams College (MA) and her Master of Arts in Social Work from the University of Chicago. Kristen has worked at SDS since 2016, transitioning from Testing Assistant to a Disability Specialist. In her role, she supports students in the general student body by providing accommodations and equal access. She also serves students in the College of Nursing who require clinical accommodations and is the sole Specialist to support students with accommodations in the School of Medicine. She believes that her work helps contribute to leveling the playing field and it's the key to equality, opportunity and independence.
Outside of her work, she enjoys travelling with her family, attending her children's school and sporting events, reading historical fiction books and binging Netflix shows. She likes to relax with a good podcast and a long walk with her dog, Cooper.
